Dr. Samantha Ellis is excited to announce the launch of Prequel, a skincare brand she developed as a dermatologist, in collaboration with The Center, a Los Angeles-based brand accelerator.

Prequel’s debut includes three core products carefully crafted to address skin health and tackle the root causes of skin concerns, providing clinical solutions to reverse barrier dysfunction and treat various skin issues from head-to-toe.

Incorporating a unique blend of doctor office brands, prescription-based topicals, and over-the-counter basics, Prequel offers effective and aesthetically pleasing formulas that are accessible to all. The brand utilizes clinically validated active ingredients at optimal levels to support skin health, enhance skin barrier function, and optimize product performance, targeting concerns ranging from aging skin and acne to crepiness and hyperpigmentation.

The initial lineup of Prequel includes three core products. First is the Gleanser, a non-drying glycerin cleanser for both face and body, priced at $18. Clinically tested to provide 24-hour moisture and formulated with 50% glycerin, inulin, and a unique aquaporin-stimulating active, the Gleanser purifies and hydrates the skin without causing dryness or irritation.

Next, the Skin Utility Ointment, a versatile skin protectant priced at $18, formulated with 45% USP-grade petrolatum. This product offers robust skin protection, shielding the skin from environmental stressors while providing intensive care.

Finally, Prequel introduces the Urea Repair 10% Urea Moisturizing Milk for the face and body, retailing at $22. The luxurious formula combines 10% pure urea with shea butter, glycerin, and niacinamide, offering deep hydration and repair, leaving the skin soft, smooth, and revitalized.

Starting July 25th, the Prequel range will be exclusively available online.
